Reagan Briggs

Verona senior guards Taylor Stremlow and Reagan Briggs were named Division 1 first-team All-State by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association.

Stremlow and Briggs led Verona to a 26-1 record and a No. 1 state ranking. The Wildcats won the Big Eight Conference for the third straight year and made a run to sectionals. Verona lost to eventual Division 1 champion Arrowhead in a sectional semifinal.

Stremlow, a University of Iowa commit, averaged 18.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, 9.2 assist and 5.7 steals per game. She was one of six finalists for Ms. Basketball. Stremlow finished her career with 1,028 points and eclipsed 500 career rebounds and 500 assists. It marks the second straight year that Stremlow was named first-team WBCA All-State. She was honorable mention all-state as a freshman and missed her sophomore year with an injury.

Briggs, a St. Cloud State commit, averaged a team-high 27 points per game to go along with, 4.1 rebounds, 3 assists and 4.1 steals per game. Briggs led the team in 3-pointers made (72) and shot 37.5% (72 of 192) from behind the arc. She closed her career with 1,657 career points to become the school’s all-time leading scorer. In their career, Stremlow and Briggs had a career record of 79-14 with the Wildcats.
