An ultralight airplane made an emergency landing in a field in the Town of Verona on Tuesday.
The 61 year old pilot from Madison had been attempting to land at the Verona airport near Grandview Road shortly after 11 a.m. when his airplane began experiencing engine trouble, according to a Dane County Sheriff’s Office news release. He put the plane down in a farm field off Grandview.
The pilot was not injured in the landing. DCSO deputies responded to the scene along with Verona police and fire.
