The city of Verona Common Council approved $9.6 million in bonds and promissory notes on Monday night.

The borrowing is for capital improvement projects the council had approved during the 2018 budget process last November. Those include funding an agreement with the Verona Area School District agreement for the access road for the new high school, County Hwy. M improvements, bridge replacements on Old Hwy. PB and the land purchase for a new public works facility.
