The Verona Area Chamber of Commerce’s wants visitors to get into the spring spirit with Egg-stravaganza Spring Festival this Saturday.
The festival, held from 9 a.m. to noon at Harriet Park, 414 Mary Lou St., will kick off with a pancake breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9-10 a.m. The cost for the breakfast is a $5 donation per person, and children ages 3 and younger eat for free.
Registration is required for the breakfast, and can be done by going to the Chamber’s website at veronawi.com.
Following the pancake breakfast, a community egg hunt will be facilitated from 10-10:30 a.m., with three sections: one for children ages 4 and younger, ages 5-7 and a third section for ages 8 and older. Registration is required for the egg hunt.
Starting at the same time as the egg hunt, the Kiwanis Club will sell brats until noon.
Attendees will be able to meet baby chicks from Blain’s Farm & Fleet, and get up close with other animals from Haven’s Petting Farm, plant flowers during a craft session with the Verona Public Library and participate in field games, including potato sack races and spoon races.
