Area artists will have another venue to share and sell their creations Sunday, June 23.

The Verona Senior Center will host its first arts and crafts fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside its building on 108 Paoli St.

Senior center programming director Alasa West told the Press a pair of seniors, who attend an exercise class at the center and do painting and other art, suggested a spring arts and crafts fair following a partnership fair held in the winter with JNJ Craftworks.

West said event was “pretty well attended” with 150 to 200 people, so she agreed to have the center sponsor one.

As of Monday, June 10, 12 vendors were signed up with a variety of media, including painting, photography and woodworking.

“We’re just kind of letting it run to see how popular it gets,” West said.

Others interested in having their works on display can get a table for $20 by calling the senior center at 845-7471. Money raised through the fair will go toward senior center programming.
