A showcase of banners designed by Verona Area School District students will be unveiled at the library on Tuesday, April 30.

Held from 7-8 p.m., a reception will honor 36 VASD students whose works have been selected to hang along East Verona Avenue. The event will kick off an exhibit of the banners that will run from April 30 until Friday, May 10 at the library before the works are moved to their outdoor locations.

A departure from the “Hometown USA” theme of previous years, students were asked to create a banner with the theme of “Verona — A City for All Seasons.” In its third year, the VASD banner program is the result of a partnership with the City of Verona and the Verona Area Education Foundation.

Refreshments will be served during the reception.
