Participants of “Potions 101” were able to experimentally dye fibers at Spry Whimsy Fiber Arts.

The class was open to beginners, master weavers, spinners and knitters. Students would mix colors, then apply them to different wool fibers like targhee, falkand and corrriedale.

Then students would heat the wool, to force the color molecules to separate. After experimenting on cheaper fibers, students were then allowed to dye yarn for which they could take home.
