Four Stoughton boys soccer players received Badger South All-Conference honors on Friday, Oct. 26.
Senior goalkeeper Nolan Meyer was named first-team all-conference and was one of four players who were unanimous all-conference. Meyer had 127 saves and an 82 percent save percentage this season.
The other unanimous first-team all-conference selections were Oregon senior midfielder Colin McCombs, Oregon junior midfielder Collin Bjerke and Monona Grove junior forward Isaac Becker.
“In a conference where Oregon gave up one goal all season, Nolan’s accomplishments are remarkable,” coach Michael McIntosh said. “He worked incredibly hard over the years to improve his game and make his senior year a smashing success for himself and, most importantly, for his team.”
Stoughton senior forward Jason Johnson was named second-team all-conference. Both senior forward Ethan Wright and junior defender Colin Holtan were named honorable mention all-conference.
Stoughton finished the season 11-7-3 and lost to sixth-ranked Elkhorn 6-0 in a WIAA Division 2 regional championship game.
