The story of a colorful band of characters with conflicting agendas will come to life in a musical from River Bluff Middle School students.

“Guys and Dolls, Jr.” will run at 6 p.m. from April 12-13 at the Stoughton High School Performing Arts Center, 600 Lincoln Ave.

An adaptation of the award-winning musical “Guys and Dolls,” the plot features nightclub performer Miss Adelaide (Madeline Olsen), who is upset over her 14-year engagement and wants to tie the knot, while her fiance Nathan Detroit (Laura Perry) is otherwise obsessed with starting an illegal game of craps. Nathan tries to get help in his crusade, but fellow gambler Sky Masterson (Andy Schloesser) is too busy chasing after love-interest Sarah Brown (Alyson Schaefer), a missionary trying to put an end to the gambling scene.

River Bluff vocal music teacher Ethan Zick is the play’s director, with Stoughton High School student Kailee Whitmire serving as co-director. Trish Gates is producing, Jen Tallman and Beth Weitner are in charge of costumes and Fred Trotter is serving as stage technician.

Tickets are only available at the door. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
