Fox Prairie student Addyson Sipe honored for artwork

Fox Prairie Elementary School fourth-grader Addyson Sipe earned top honors in the WEA Member Benefits Student Art Competition with her paste batik of a colorful fish, using cloth, paste, liquid watercolor and marker.

Fox Prairie Elementary School fourth-grader Addyson Sipe is one of only 11 Wisconsin students to be recognized for their artwork by this year’s WEA Member Benefits Student Art Competition. Sipe's artwork is a paste batik, using cloth, paste (made from flour, water and alum), liquid watercolor and marker.

Her art was selected from 250 statewide entries submitted for the competition, which is in its fourth year. The students’ artwork will be displayed this fall in the WEA offices in Madison.
