Ashlyn Sarbacker, 16, will be recognized at the Wisconsin Holstein Association convention early next year.

In a news release from the association earlier this month, Sarbacker will be commended for her “outstanding achievements,” during the Junior Holstein Convention on Jan. 4-6. The convention is in coordination with the Sheboygan County Junior Holstein Association.

Youth from across the state are recognized across multiple categories. The top awards are for those excelling with junior Holstein projects: Distinguished Junior Members (ages 17-21), Young Distinguished Junior Members (ages 13-16), and 12 and Under Recognition award winners.

The banquet will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan.

Sarbacker will be recognized as a Young Distinguished Junior member.

She is the daughter of David and Candi Sarbacker. They live at Floydholm, an 80-acre farm near Edgerton, where they house show heifers, according to the release.

Sarbacker is a junior at Stoughton High School, where she is class treasurer, FFA chapter president, a part of the Student Senate and a track and field athlete. She has been on the Dane County team for dairy quiz bowl and dairy judging, and she serves as the treasurer for the Dane County Junior Holstein Breeders. She’s also a member of the Triangle Troopers 4-H Club.
