Stoughton Hospital was again among the top agencies in the U.S. to be named a Top Agency of the 2018 HomeCare Elite.

The award recognizes the top performing health agencies in the country. For more than 13 years, HomeCare Elite has annually identified the top 25 percent of Medicare-certified agencies, according to a news release from Stoughton Hospital.

Julie Stenbroten, Stoughton Hospital Home Health Manager, said she credits the Home Health staff’s dedication to patient care as what sets Stoughton Hospital apart from other organizations.

“We pride ourselves on seeing the patient within 24 hours of receiving care orders,” Stenbroten said in the release. “We know these patients need both the care and reassurance that we are going to be there for them,”

Stoughton Hospital’s Home Health staff addresses specific problems with patients and their families during home visits, teaches skills to help speed up recovery and reduce the possibility of rehospitalization, among other benefits, the release explains. During home visits, hospital professionals educate families about how loved ones can safely stay in their homes.

“I would like to congratulate the team at Stoughton Hospital Home Health and thank them for

their commitment to providing consistently high-quality care,” said Christine Lang, senior director for ABILITY Network, in the release. “During a time of increasing demands on home health professionals’ time and attention, these caregivers and leaders have demonstrated that they have prioritized their patients and created a solid foundation for serving their communities and partnering with other healthcare providers.”
