Six Oregon baseball players were named Badger South All-Conference last month, led by senior first baseman Matt Rusch, who was named first-team.
Rusch led the etam in batting average over .400 with four home runs, 18 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He was named the team's MVP.
Senior first baseman Noah Brindley, junior shortstop Eddie Saucedo and sophomore pitcher Spencer Buskager were each honored as second-team all-conference.
Buskager hit a team-high .414 in conference. He went 3-4 on the mound and posted a 3.75 ERA with 41 strikeouts and 20 walks. Saucedo hit .302 and Brindley hit .349 in conference.
Seniors Jack Haufle and Cameron Carpenter were named honorable mention.
Madison Edgewood’s Thomas Hartlieb was named the player of the year. Monona Grove’s Michael Zande was pitcher of the year.
