The Oregon Police Department will conduct “active threat training” at Oregon Middle School next week, from Monday, July 15, through Friday, July 19.
Training sessions will run from around 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, according to a post on the Oregon Police Department Facebook page.
“We partner with several neighboring agencies to conduct this training so you will see patrol vehicles from neighboring jurisdictions in the area as well,” the post states.
During this time no unauthorized persons will be allowed at Oregon Middle School. No OMS personnel will be involved in the training, Oregon School District communications director Erika Mundinger emailed the Observer.
