Richard “Dick” A. Geiger, age 86, of Brooklyn, passed away on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 at his home. He was born on April 19, 1932, in Verona, the son of Henry and Rose (Andrea) Geiger.
Dick was a Korean War vet. He loved to ride horses and go camping. He also loved working on his hobby farm. He enjoyed going to coffee with his coffee friends, before his stroke in 2012. After his stroke, he struggled with health issues for a year, but was able to be at home up to his death.
He was very active outside mowing his lawn, pruning his trees and shrubs. He would also drive his tractor around and brush hog, move dirt and grade his driveway. He loved to watch reruns of Hee Haw, Gunsmoke, M.A.S.H. and RFD, especially the Tractor Addition.
Dick is survived by his children, Connie (Gary) Westphal, Ron Geiger, Rick (Sue) Geiger and Debi (Darcy) Kuhn; and four grandchildren, Matthew Wineke, Samantha Geiger, Jimmy Geiger and Damian Geiger.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Inga (Beth); parents; two brothers, Donald Henry and Marvin Ewald; and two sisters, Esther Rose and Pearl Elizabeth.
A Celebration of Richard’s Life was already held.
