Police arrested an Oregon man after he allegedly entered a North Perry Parkway home and was armed with a gun while intoxicated Saturday, April 27.

Kyle A. Nelson, 27, was “safely” taken into custody after the Oregon Police Department responded to a disturbance call at 5:33 a.m. at 652 North Perry Parkway, according to a department news release.

Officers received information that Nelson was intoxicated and had crashed into a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence “intentionally,” the release states. Nelson then crashed through the home’s garage into another parked vehicle that was inside, according to the release.

Nelson then went into the home, and “armed himself with a shotgun” as police responded, the release states.

The two vehicles Nelson hit, and his own, sustained “moderate” damage along with the garage door, the release states.

Both of the parked vehicles were unoccupied and two adults where in the residence when the incident occurred, according to the release.

Police recommended that Nelson be charged with his first offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, domestic disorderly conduct while armed, felony domestic damage to property and two counts of endangering safety with a weapon according to the release.
