Oregon boy hosts Black Lives Matter protest

Own Dewbrew, 12, brings awareness to the Black Lives Matter movement in downtown Oregon as drivers honk in solidarity.

Owen Dewbre, an Oregon 12-year-old, saw all the protests going on around the world bringing awareness to the Black Lives Matter movement.

And so, he decided to host his own protest, even if he was going to do it alone Monday, June 1.

Dewbre, who his mother Sarah said is passionate about social issues, said his idea to protest came from a dinner conversation about current events.
