Get ready for some rhythm.

Drumlines and color guards from throughout Wisconsin will perform at the 2019 Shadow Indoor Showcase on Sunday, Feb. 24.

The event, hosted by Wisconsin Indoor Marching Arts (WIMA) and the Oregon Band Boosters, will run from noon to 3 p.m. at the Oregon High School Performing Arts Center, 456 N. Perry Pkwy.

Tickets for adults are $7 and kids ages 10 and under are free.

WIMA founder and board president Thomas Reimer said this is the second “official” year of the showcase, which started last year as part of an effort to highlight local band groups.

This year, two OHS color guards and one drumline will participate in the showcase.

Before the showcase got started, OHS groups only traveled away for performances, he said, limiting how much attention they received from the community. He said the event is an opportunity for the local groups to show where they come from and perform something they “can be proud of.”

“Hopefully every year, we will get more teams and it can be a bigger and more exciting event,” Reimer told the Observer.
