With the State Bank of Cross Plains’ acquisition of Union Bank &Trust becoming official, the two Oregon banks will merge into one location next month.

SBCP announced the merger completion in a May 31 news release, adding it would close its location at 744 N. Main St. in July. The rest of the branches for both banks will remain open.

The Oregon presence will remain at 883 N. Main St.

The merger allowed SBCP to expand from 10 locations in Dane County to a combined 15 locations in Dane, Rock and Green counties.

There are no layoffs as part of the merger, according to the release.
