Verona Road update

Construction crews began work again on the Verona Road project late last month. Traffic is expected to shift to the east side of the road later this spring as crews work on the west side, including the interchange ramps between Williamsburg Way and County Hwy. PD.

Concrete paving operations are ongoing for the new lanes of Verona Road (US 18/151) between Williamsburg Way and County PD/McKee Road in Fitchburg. Early Monday morning (Sept. 16), crews anticipate pouring concrete for the southbound Verona Road bridge over County PD. Be alert for crews and equipment in this area and slow down in the work zone!

As a reminder, starting 6 a.m. Monday (Sept. 16) until Friday, October 4, County M will be closed to through traffic from Fish Hatchery Road (County D), south of Fitchburg, to County MM in Oregon. The section of County M from Fish Hatchery Road to County PB near Verona will remain open until Monday, October 7. Access will be maintained to area businesses and residences within the project limits. Please read the below update about this resurfacing work.

Forward this email to family, friends and co-workers who travel on Verona Road and County PD in Fitchburg, and encourage them to sign up for Verona Road Project email updates!
